Darkness
Darkness paralyzes our consciousness, crippling our mobility.
Nothing good can come of it, accidents and injuries.
We plan around it.
The fear of the unknown grips us and renders us dysfunctional and I am not immune.
Yet I persevere.
With patience and an intuitive sense, I sit in the darkness letting the darkness envelop me and I acclimate myself to it.
Vision still drastically hampered, mobility returns. My other senses become keen.
The darkness is tolerable until the morning light.
The spirit in man is the determination in me.

“The darkness is tolerable until the morning light”. When the darkness expresses an unknown future then perhaps we need to dare to look deeper into it, until, with the light of insight, we learn what it is that we need to do; what direction our life must take.
